Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of Restash, including the iOS app, getrestash.com, and related services (the "service"). By creating an account or using Restash, you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

Privacy is explained separately in our Privacy Policy. Copyright complaints are handled at getrestash.com/dmca.

The service

Restash is a private vault. You save links, posts, notes, images, and other material, organize them, search them, optionally share folders you choose, and use AI-assisted tools you turn on. Features may change. We will try to give reasonable notice of material changes. Joining the waitlist does not guarantee access or a launch date.

Your content — you own it

You own your content. Restash does not. That includes everything you save or create in the service: notes, boards, folders, captions, voice notes, and outputs from Restash AI features you generate, to the extent the law allows those outputs to be owned.

We do not:

• claim ownership of your vault or anything in it;
• sell your content;
• license your content to advertisers or other users, except people you explicitly invite;
• use your private vault to train public AI models.

Saving someone else's work (for example an Instagram post or a webpage) does not make you the copyright owner of that work. The original owner keeps their rights. You are responsible for only saving material you have the right to save. Restash is a host of user-saved content; we do not review everything you save.

License you grant us

To run Restash for you, you grant us a limited, worldwide, non-exclusive license to host, store, process, transmit, and display your content — only as needed to provide the service you asked for (including search, AI features you use, backups, and showing content to people you invite). We do not get any other rights. This license ends when you delete the content or your account, except for (a) copies we must keep to comply with law, resolve disputes, or enforce these terms, and (b) copies already in the accounts of people you shared with, until they delete them.

AI outputs

As between you and Restash, you own AI outputs generated for you in the app, to the extent we can grant those rights. AI outputs may be inaccurate, may not be copyrightable, and may resemble other material. Do not rely on them as professional, legal, medical, or financial advice. You are responsible for how you use them.

Your account

You must provide accurate information and keep your login safe. You are responsible for activity on your account. Do not share credentials. We may suspend or close an account that violates these terms or the law. You can request export or deletion as described in the Privacy Policy.

The service is not for children under 13. If you are under 16 in the EEA or UK, a parent or guardian must agree.

Sharing

Vaults are private by default. If you invite someone to a folder or resource, you are giving them access to that content. You remain the owner. You can revoke access; copies they already downloaded or saved elsewhere are outside our control.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• save or generate unlawful, infringing, hateful, or abusive content;
• use Restash to violate another person's privacy or intellectual property;
• attempt to disrupt, scrape, reverse-engineer, or bypass rate limits or security;
• misuse AI features to produce malware, scams, or other harmful material;
• impersonate others or misrepresent your affiliation with Restash.

Copyright

If you believe content in Restash infringes your copyright, send a notice to dmca@getrestash.com. The process is at getrestash.com/dmca. We may remove material and, for repeat infringement, close accounts.

Subscriptions & billing

Paid plans and credits are billed through the Apple App Store. Prices and terms are shown in-app before purchase. Manage or cancel in iOS Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions. Refunds follow Apple's policies. Apple is not a party to these terms, except that Apple is a third-party beneficiary of the App Store licensed application terms that apply to the iOS app.

Third-party services

Restash uses processors such as hosting, authentication, email, crash reporting, App Store billing, and AI providers to operate features you use. Their terms may also apply to their services. We are not responsible for third-party sites or apps you save from or open.

Disclaimers

The service is provided "as is" and "as available." To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that saved third-party pages will remain available.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Restash and its operators are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of the service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid us for Restash in the 12 months before the claim or (b) USD $50.

Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or fraud.

Consumer rights

If you are a consumer in the EEA, UK, or another place with mandatory consumer protections, those rights apply. These terms do not override them. You may have a statutory right to withdraw from a distance contract where the law requires it; digital content you asked us to start supplying may affect that right as the law provides.

Changes

We may update these terms. The "Last updated" date will change. Continued use after the update means you accept the new terms, except where the law requires your explicit consent. If you do not agree, stop using Restash and delete your account.
