How to build a gym routine from the workout Reels you saved

Short answer

To build a gym routine from saved workout videos, sort the exercises by muscle group, pick a weekly split (for example push, pull, legs), choose two to four exercises per session from your saves, and set sets and reps. Restash can do this from your Gym workspace: ask it for a routine and it builds one from the workouts you saved, linking each exercise to its video.

Two hundred saved exercises is not a program. It is a menu.

Step 1: Pick a split you can keep

  • 2 days a week: full body A / full body B.
  • 3 days: push / pull / legs.
  • 4 days: upper / lower / upper / lower.

Step 2: Fill each day from your saves

  1. One main compound lift (squat, press, row, hinge).
  2. Two accessory exercises you saved for that day’s muscles.
  3. Optional: a core or mobility finisher.

Step 3: Sets, reps and progress

A common starting point is three sets of 8–12 reps for accessories and fewer, heavier reps for main lifts. Add a little weight or a rep when every set feels solid. If you have a coach or a condition, follow their advice first.

Let Restash draft it

  1. Save workout videos into your Gym workspace.
  2. Ask: “Build me a 3-day push/pull/legs routine from my saved workouts.”
  3. Review the routine, adjust sets and reps, and open any exercise to watch the form cue again.

FAQ

Can an app make a workout plan from videos I saved?

Yes. Restash builds workout routines from the videos in your Gym workspace and links each exercise back to its original Reel or TikTok.

How many exercises should be in a gym session?

Most people do well with four to six exercises: one or two main lifts plus a few accessories. Choose them from saves that fit the day’s muscle groups.

Is an AI-built routine safe?

Treat it as a draft built from videos you chose. Check the load and volume against your experience, and follow a professional’s advice if you have an injury or condition.

About Restash
