From bookmark graveyard to a vault you use

Why bookmarks rot

They are sorted by time or by a folder you made once in 2019. They have no picture of why you cared. They do not connect the Reel, the article, and the screenshot of the same restaurant. You would need a librarian. You have a list.

A vault is a picture plus a question

Restash keeps the save as you saw it — cover, caption, source — then lets you ask across the set. That is closer to how memory works: “the beige kitchen with the long table,” not “example.com/p/18472.”

Migrate without a weekend project

Do not export ten years of Pocket. Forward the next ten things you would have bookmarked. If the vault earns its keep this month, last year’s graveyard can wait. Most of it was never going to be cooked, booked, or built anyway.
